I have been going to Mark for about 8 years for my cars: Corvette, Corolla, LX 470. They are knowledgeable, honest and most helpful, including affordable.
Honest and friendly. Owner is on premise and took time to explain things to me. Also, the shop was quick each of the three times I have taken my car there.
Fast and super friendly.. i only needed an inspection but they were wonderful about it.
I have had nothing but great experiences here. I took my car to two other shops that both told me I need a new alternator. After having it towed to sun marks turns out I just needed a new battery. Since then I have always taken make car to them! They do an awesome job, are very reliable and overall great experience!
Had the opportunity to visit this location due to my daughters car had an issue. She called and set up an appointment and they did fix her car, Problem is the cost. It appears that all parts 4 spark plugs (dealer cost 3.49 sale price 8.98)and plug wires (Dealer cost 39.00 life time warranty sale price 94.23) purchased at a local part store were marked up over 100%, at a labor rate of 89.00 per hour plus the cost of 89.00 to be hooked up on an analyzer. While I understand the cost of running a business, taking advantage of customer (much less a 24 year old female) is not what keeps me in business. I was very disappointed when I called to try to get this corrected the owner wouldn't even let me talk, just got excuses. Bottom line another garage quoted the same work doing the exact same thing nearly 100.00 less. (Car Specialist 165.91 vs Sun-Mark 295.23 minus a whopping 20.00 off parts). 4 plugs and a set of wire costing nearly 300.00 for a 4 cly Toyota sure is a bit excessive. Should have fixed it myself for 75.00. Although the work was good the cost in my opinion was out of line. Oh yea forgot the call she received about black chunky stuff in her Transmission fluid, when I asked about this in person the fluid was dirty but no signs of black chunky or metal on the dip stick. a suggestion was I should get it changed before long. My bill was paid in full before I left and before reviewing the actual cost of what it should have been. I can not recommend this shop unless you watch very closely, and stay on top of the recommendations they offer you.
